It is that time of year once again!
Sweater weather, pumpkin spice everything, brown boots, scarves and leather jackets. It is finally Fall.
Meanwhile, the province has also changed the COVID19 restrictions to ORANGE. The BNC staff is dedicated to provide a safe and healthy environment for the community, especially for our youth. We will continue to practice social distancing and to strictly enforce the use of masks within the facility between youth and staff.
Thanks to The Stabilization Grant offered through The Winnipeg Foundation, we were able to secure four staff positions to help us in this time of uncertainty with the COVID19 pandemic.
Our drop in program has been limited to accommodate 16 youth, broken up into two groups of 8. We are also still serving pre-plated meals to maximize sanitary precautions. The After School Leaders program is starting on the first week of October as well with their first batch of participants following a different model program called Youth Creators Club. Just TV is continuing to operate under normal hours following scheduled appointments among youth.
Lastly, the Broadway Neighbourhood Centre is having the Annual General Meeting on October 21st, Wednesday at 6:00 PM CST.
