Little Red Spirit

Little Red Spirit is a community-based, early intervention program that addresses the needs of young Indigenous children living in the inner-city. The staff supports 40 children and parents on a daily basis. This program is funded on a long-term basis by Health Canada. Little Red Spirit serves families with children of Indigenous descent between the ages of 3 to 6 who live in the West Broadway area. It is a comprehensive program designed to meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of youth and their families. Parents must be willing to participate in the program with their children.

The program operates based on the needs of the community, which include:

  • Culture & Language

  • Social Support

  • Health Promotion

  • Nutrition and Education
