Little Red spirit is a community-based early intervention program that addresses the needs of young Aboriginal children living in an urban centre. The staff supports 40 children and parents in the program on a daily basis. The program is funded on a long-term basis by Health Canada. It is a comprehensive program designed to meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of the child. The program includes the following components: Culture & Language, Social Support Programs, Health Promotion, Nutruition and Education. Little Red Spirit serves families with children of Aboriginal descent between the ages of 3 to 6, who live in the West Broadway area.
