Such exciting news!! We are pleased to announce that our Executive Director, Lawrence ‘Spatch’ Mulhall received news that he has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

The medal will commemorate the 60th anniversary of accession to the throne of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as Queen of Canada, and pay homage to her six decades of service and commitment to our country.
In 2012, during the year of celebrations, 60 000 deserving Canadians will be recognized for their contributions to Canada or to a particular province, territory or community, or for their outstanding achievement abroad that has brought great credit to our country; It will serve to honour contributions and achievements made by Canadians, who represent the full breadth of our society.

Spatch has spent over a decade serving the community and creating programs that help youth gain life skills that’ll give them a leg-up early in life. These programs develop self-confidence, employment skills and encourage youth to grow into successful members of society. Spatch combined his love for music and dedication to youth programming in the successful, trail-blazing Just TV program.  His commitment to the youth is quite inspiring and we are all very proud of him!!

Spatch will receive his medal at a ceremony on December 16, 2012 at the Fort Garry Hotel.  Stay tune for pictures!
