The Broadway Neighbourhood Centre is proud to announce a new program focused on reconnecting Aboriginal youth to their culture and identity by providing free cultural programming for youth of all ages.  This program is open for anyone who wants to learn about Aboriginal culture.

Just TV alumni Erica Daniels has been in the process of working along side with the Turtle Lodge and various Elders in the community to develop a safe and welcoming place for youth to connect with Elders and learn more about the Aboriginal heritage, build self-confidence, and be proud of who they are as an Aboriginal person.

Mikinack Gi Na Ma Kawin “Turtle Teachings” is a drop-in program that runs ever Wednesday evening from 4-8 and some weekends to attend cultural outings and fun activities such as cultural teachings, medicine picking, sweat lodge ceremony, sundance ceremony, smudging, pipe ceremonies, full moon ceremonies, rites of passage, traditional arts and crafts, pow wow outings, and much more!

Please see the calendar for upcoming cultural outings and updates on guest speakers and activites!

Parents are welcome, and registration is required.
