Broadway Neighbourhood Centre is home to the largest green space and only recreational field in the West Broadway neighbourhood; as such, it is used by many different user groups for a variety of activities and events.

Residents of the area are happy with the re-development of this space as it is an important project in modernizing recreational infrastructure and improving access to healthy recreational activities. This is important for population health, improving safety, and social cohesion. The BNC’s green space promotes natural play-spaces, improvement and enhancement of recreational fields, and community orchards.
